What is Netskope?

Netskope is a cloud security platform developed by the U.S. company of the same name. It combines several security components: cloud application usage control (CASB), a secure web gateway, zero-trust access to private applications, and data loss prevention. It is used by mid-sized companies and large enterprises that want to secure hybrid work and access to SaaS applications.

What can you do with the Netskope connector?

The connector syncs Netskope users to Youzer: username, first name, last name, primary email address, secondary email addresses, groups, and last modified date.

The creation, modification (including group membership), suspension, reactivation, and deletion of users are automated through Youzer. A password reset generates a request to the application administrator, which is tracked in Youzer.

  • Onboarding: The user is added to the correct groups—and thus assigned the appropriate security policies—as soon as they join.
  • Mobility: A job change automatically updates the groups.
  • Offboarding: The user is first suspended and then deleted, without any manual intervention.

How does the Netskope connector work?

Configuration is done through Youzer using the credentials generated by your Netskope administrator in the Netskope console. No installation is required.
