Offboarding

What is offboarding?

Offboarding consists of all the actions to prepare for a user's departure. The processes begin when the user's departure date is known and can end well after the user's departure.

Offboarding is often synonymous with closing access accounts, returning equipment or access resources (key, badge, etc.).

Part of the offboarding process concerns the HR or payroll department, as it involves validating the balance of all accounts for the employee if it was a permanent or fixed-term contract.
