Offboarding

What is offboarding?

Off-boarding consists of all actions in preparation for a user's departure. The processes start at the moment the user's departure date is known and can end long after the user has left.

Offboarding is often synonymous with closing access accounts, returning equipment or access resources (keys, badges, etc.).

Part of the offboarding concerns the HR or payroll department, since it involves validating the balance of all accounts for the employee if he or she was on a permanent or fixed-term contract.
