What is a cyber attack?

A cyber attack is a deliberate attempt to compromise the computer security of a system, network or device, using malicious techniques such as hacking, phishing, data theft or malware injection.

Cyber attacks can cause financial damage, loss of sensitive data, disruption of business operations and damage to a company's reputation.
