What is a cyberattack?

A cyberattack is a deliberate attempt to compromise the IT security of a system, network, or device by using malicious techniques such as hacking, phishing, data theft, or malware injection.

Cyberattacks can cause financial damage, loss of sensitive data, disruption of business operations, and damage to a company's reputation.
