User account provisioning

What is user account provisioning?

Provisioning is the process of setting up and configuring the resources needed to access and use a service, application or system. It involves providing the necessary elements for a user or a system to start up, function and be operational.

Provisioning of user accounts, or User Provisioning, is the automated process of creating, modifying, deactivating or deleting user accounts in a system or application, according to changes within the company, such as new hires, promotions, departures or other personnel movements.

In French, we refer to this as provisionnement des comptes.
