User account provisioning

What is user account provisioning?

Provisioning refers to the process of setting up and configuring the resources necessary to enable access to and use of a service, application, or system. It involves providing the necessary elements to a user or system so that it can start, function, and be operational.

User account provisioning is the automated process of creating, modifying, deactivating, or deleting user accounts in a system or application, based on changes within the company, such as new hires, promotions, departures, or other personnel movements.

In French, we refer to it as account provisioning.
