A major company in the French transport sector, playing a crucial role in the urban mobility of a major metropolis and its surrounding region. This organization manages a complex transportation network, ensuring the daily mobility of the surrounding population.
Some key facts about the transport company :
- 12,000 employees
- Concerned by the Olympic Games 2024
Their need:
Rectify user accounts in less than 6 months. No tool exists, and the only thing we've used so far is Excel. Added to this is a JOP context where the security stakes are high.
What was the problem within the company?
With the Olympic and Paralympic Games just a few months away, the company needed to review its access to critical applications. More generally, the transport company needed to review its authorizations.
With a volume of 1,600 managers, Excel was no longer an option. The situation was therefore complex, as the review of accounts had not really been carried out according to the rules of the art before, and the exercise needed to be structured and professionalized in order to provide clean, accurate results.
Stéphane*, who had just arrived, was asked to carry out an accounts review in less than 6 months. No specific development was therefore an option, and Stéphane set out to find a ready-to-use SaaS solution.
How did you go about choosing Youzer as your user account recertification solution?
Stéphane had previously worked with a company that handled the recertification of accounts, and he naturally contacted them again.
The proposal was neither financially nor in terms of deadlines.
As the transport company is French, looking for a French solution was an obvious choice, and that's how Youzer emerged as a suitable and relevant response to this need.
Since an access recertification tool is technically quite simple to implement, it would be a good idea to set it up. However, I also thought that there must be a French company already offering this type of solution, and that's what I chose.

How did you go about setting up Youzer within the French transport company?
Stéphane was quickly won over by Youzer and the no-commitment service that allowed him to work with the solution for just 3 months.
The project began in February, with the first stage being to set up and test the campaign. Youzer offered 5 days' support, enabling the IT team to make personalized use of the product while retaining autonomy.
All HR file extraction uploads were handled by Youzer and Stéphane's IT team had to work on them.
How did the IT account recertification campaign go?
The recertification campaign lasted 8 weeks, with a 2-week Easter break in between.
The aim is to keep the period as short as possible, so as to ensure consistency of results.
The company launched the emailing of managers and over 1,600 emails were sent via Youzer. There were no deliverability problems. They were all received in the main mailbox. On the other hand, users were not warned of the campaign, the email was brief and the sender was unknown to users, so there was mistrust and few responses.
Stéphane chose to carry out the reminders in-house to avoid these problems.
After two reminders, 2/3 of the managers responded. The IT team was satisfied with this response for a 1st official recertification campaign. It explained the remaining third by several reasons: a lack of awareness of the campaign, a lack of efficiency in the managerial relay, and certain managers being further away from their workstations and therefore having less access to e-mails.
What happens next? How will the transport company deal with future recertifications?
The company's directors were generally satisfied with the initial results.
Stéphane plans to run one or two campaigns a year, and wants to increase the number of accounts to be recertified. 10 applications were concerned by the recertification and all those with less than 100 users were excluded. For future recertifications, more applications will be included.
Stéphane also hopes that word-of-mouth will work better and that response rates will be even better for the next campaign.
Two Group subsidiaries have completed their recertification with Youzer, and discussions are underway to extend the use of Youzer throughout the Group.
What are your preferred functionalities?
The only one used in this case is the review of authorizations.
Would you recommend Youzer?
I recommend Youzer because it's efficient and easy to use, and the value for money is good. It's sovereign, and that's also a criterion.
We'll be working with you again, with a timing close to that of last year.
