Very often, managers have this role of interface between the management and the employees they manage.

Contents

Managers are often the interface between management and the employees they manage. This sometimes complicated position actually has enormous potential when it comes to managing accounts and software access. On the one hand, the manager is informed about IT strategies, data security and available tools, and on the other, he or she has that fundamental business knowledge that enables him or her to assign the right accesses to his or her teams. This proximity to the teams makes him a relevant player in IT management, reducing the risk of assigning useless accounts and losing data.

At Youzer, we believe in the potential of managers and integrate them into account management processes.

Anticipating departures

The quality of a manager lies above all in his human qualities and his ability to create a pleasant working environment for his team.

But what could be more disappointing for a new arrival than to find that their manager has forgotten to prepare for their arrival ? (This kind of situation happens far more often than you might think!). It's to compensate for this kind of discrepancy that we've set up a customizable notification system that informs the manager of an employee's arrival several days beforehand, so as to anticipate his or her onboarding. Similarly, when a team member leaves, notifications are sent to remind the manager to schedule the suspension of access.

Automating the reception process

Preparing for an employee's arrival or departure takes time (a lot of time!) and often involves repetitive tasks. At Youzer, we believe that these low value-added tasks slow down the "human" welcome of the employee, and make the manager focus on purely technical elements. That's why we automate the allocation and suspension of software accounts.

Managers simply select the tools they want to assign to the new member from a suggested list, and watch as all the accounts are automatically created. They can also build "packages" of tools (Active Directory + Slack + Gmail, for example) according to a position, and then simply assign this package to its users.

The same applies to employee departures: simply enter the departure date and all software accounts will be automatically suspended at the exact moment of leaving the company.

Visibility and monitoring of usage

Assigning accounts to teams is a definite advantage, but it must be accompanied by monitoring. By centralizing all aspects of account management on Youzer, you gain visibility through direct display of all the access your team has. So you can easily see, track and manage the tools of each of your close collaborators.

By having a precise idea of software usage within your team, you can make well-reasoned choices about renewing or abandoning licenses, and thus potentially bring financial benefits to your company. Youzer will recommend possible optimizations for your instance.
