"The account review is one of the most significant time-savers.
One click and I get the information.
I used to do it once a year and it took a full-time person for a month."

To obtain a score, you need to connect at least one of your applications to Youzer, so that the information can be retrieved and the score calculated.
Ideally, you should connect your account directory, such as Active Directory, to your HRIS or HR file.
A low score means that you have a very high rate of orphaned accounts (attached to no user). This rate is calculated according to the total number of accounts present.
The rate of accounts in error (attached to a departed user) is also high, and this rate is calculated according to the number of users present.
A low score is a sign of fragility in your company's identity and access management. This can have serious consequences, such as providing a gateway for a cyber attack.
Without an IAM tool, it will be laborious to control the cleaning of your accounts over the long term.
The steps are:
have a single user repository (people present in your company, all contracts included)
get a list of all accounts present in an application
reconcile the repository and the list of accounts for each application to highlight anomalies
With an IAM solution like Youzer, all you have to do is connect your AD or similar, your HRIS or HR file to get an immediate, clear breakdown of the status of your accounts and any anomalies.
You can then suspend all the accounts of departed users. Youzer has an algorithm that generates suggested associations between users and orphaned accounts.
A good ICS proves that you have excellent management of your user accounts and that you have no security loopholes in the management of unattached or unsuspended accounts.
Managing accounts in error is work to be done throughout the year.
This doesn't mean you're immune to all cyber-attacks, but it does mean you're not leaving any entry points through unmaintained accounts.
Be careful though, a single untreated error account can be the source of a cyber-attack. Be vigilant.
